“There are people who are generic. They make generic responses and they expect generic answers. They live inside a box and they think people who don’t fit into their box are weird. But I’ll tell you what, generic people are the weird people. They are like genetically manipulated plants growing inside a laboratory, like indistinguishable faces, like droids. Like ignorance.”
I have come to realize as human beings we all want to be extraordinary
but we need to fit in. Ironically extraordinary people never fit in. I’m okay with that. Seriously I am. I’ve learned a long time ago to be true to who I am and if that meant wearing Army fatigue pants when they weren’t cool then so be it. I purchased this Sailors Cap for the All white boat ride during Full Figured Fashion week in June. I mean HELLO what else was I suppose to wear?
For some strange reason I love taking typical things out of their environment and introducing them to everyday wear. It’s extremely dope and I think I will be doing it more often. Ever since then I’ve been seeing the military, navy style everywhere! Obviously it’s not because of me (secretly hoping it is) .Being that its Fashion Week in New York City and I was invited to Lincoln Center with a close friend (a work invite no heels!) I thought it would only make sense if I dusted it off and wore it again.
I hope you liked the look.
