“I think I’d probably tell you that it’s easier to desire and pursue the attention of tens of millions of total strangers than it is to accept the love and loyalty of the people closest to us.”
― William Gibson, Idoru
I am going to use cool outfit post in order to slip in necessary messages …as you can see lol. I stumbled upon this quote from William Gibson while doing research for one of my lesson plans. It’s amazing how much we shine in front of people who don’t have any real relevance in our lives. It’s so hard to accept the love from people who we have placed in vital positions. I guess we are afraid of being hurt. Lets face it only the people we love have the capability to bring us to such a vulnerable place. After my mother passed away in September I promised myself I would focus on nurturing my real friendships no matter how few instead of maintaining a host of superficial ones. Trusting people and expected them to love and be loyal to you is super scary no matter the type of relationship, but it worth it once you find the right people.
Take a look at this weekends outfit post when I went bar hopping with a couple of friends. Sporty Chic.
