Head on over to Eloquii’s Style and Substance Page to see all five looks. 🙂
As a New Yorker I must say we don’t often take advantage of the beauty in our backyards. For years’ vacations meant sandy beaches and palm trees, and while those things are amazing this summer I just wanted to do a few things differently. My best friend was in town from California over the weekend and I was super excited. A staycation was on the menu and I knew just the place to relax, relate and release. Brooklyn! From the Beautiful Brownstones and super diverse restaurants, we had everything we needed in our reach.
Even though I am a Brooklynite there are tons of things happening in my city that I haven’t tired. This staycation allowed me to explore and fall in love all over again. We rented two small rooms in a beautiful brownstone for a week in the heights so I had to pack. I love clothing! If I could take my entire wardrobe with me I probably would, but I couldn’t. With minimal space and a desire for maximum style I needed a piece to transition throughout week. A garment that could be worn to both a picnic and a night of restaurant hopping. Easy pieces like the Short Sleeve Chambray Button down top from Eloquii did just the trick. Beautifully made and super lightweight it got me through the unpredictably summer week in New York.
We jumped on the L train and went to a super trendy restaurant in Williamsburg. I wanted to be both stylish and fashion forward. After receiving tons of compliments on my last denim on denim look, I wanted to give it another shot. Sporting my
Day two we headed to the park for a picnic with a few of our old friends from college. Still determined to wear my chambray top, I paired it the white Belted A-Line Denim Skirt and sneakers. Infusing different color denim brings me to my happy place. With a picnic basket full of goodies and this outfit, I was ready for our small reunion.”
Brooklyn has some of the best ice cream shops. On Saturday we hopped on our bike rentals and tried out a few gourmet flavors. It was close to 90 degrees, so shorts were my only logical option. I felt so fun and flirty wearing these peplum shorts. The lollipop color was such a cool contrast to my top. After successfully rocking my shirt for three days straight, I took a chance at repurposing my cropped flair pants into a turban. Totally beating the heat, can you say winning!”
